MISSION: The mission of the Sant Twa Ti Flè Foundation, our operating site, is to serve the interests of the most needy children of the rural zone of Fort-Royal in Petit-Goave and provide them with a solid basic education by helping them to master reading, writing and mathematical skills through the medium of Creole which is both their native language and the language understood and spoken by their parents, relatives, friends and neighbors. With contemplation that the Sant Twa Ti Flè students must take the national test “Sètifika” before entering secondary schools, since 2013, the children are also gradually introduced to French as a second language (FSL) in accordance with the curriculum requirements of the Department of Education in Haiti.

The main goals of Sant Twa Ti Flè Foundation are to:

Z
Give all children living in Fort-Royal an opportunity to acquire good reading, writing and math skills as a sound foundation for knowledge development in their native language.
Z
Offer the school building as a center for adult literacy, health education, community programs and activities.
Z
Give all children living in Fort-Royal an opportunity to experience a pleasant learning place where comprehension, understanding, and active participation are priorities; where corporal punishment, psychological violence, fear, and humiliation are banished; where self-esteem, respect for their peers and their families, for their customs, for their environment are promoted.
Z
Create a school environment where parents are welcomed and have free access, while the education of their children is not an economic burden for them.
Z
Create an egalitarian school environment without competition for grades and rank among students.
